Vintage anchovy pot from Puglia
Vintage anchovy pot from Puglia in the south of Italy.
These beautiful creamy yellow ceramic jars were used to preserve vegetables and fish such as the local anchovies.
Now they make decorative vases or containers for utensils or, as here, candles. A lovely vase for tulips.
16cm high by 18cm across.

French mirrors
Small French mirrors, Louis Philippe style from 19th century.
Attractive mouldings and lovely old glass. They have been repainted with Farrow and Ball Shaded White. Can be waxed and or rubbed down to reveal gilding underneath.
Larger is 58cm high by 44cm across. Small is 39cm high by 33cm.
Can be hung or these smaller mirrors are lovely propped on a shelf with other pieces to compliment.

Virol was a bone marrow extract used as a tonic.
